From June to October, Queenstown transforms into New Zealand’s ultimate alpine winter escape. With Coronet Peak and The Remarkables right on your doorstep, you’ll have access to two incredible ski areas with terrain for everyone from first-timers to advanced skiers and snowboarders.
Having two mountains within easy reach gives you more terrain to explore and more choice throughout your trip, all while staying in one Queenstown base. Getting to the slopes is easy too, with Ski Bus services connecting central Queenstown with both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables.


Just 16km from central Queenstown, Coronet Peak is Queenstown’s local mountain and home to New Zealand’s longest ski day. Start early with First Tracks from 8am, explore the mountain throughout the day and, on select evenings, keep skiing after dark with Night Ski.
With terrain ranging from wide-open beginner runs to steep, technical trails, there’s plenty to explore whatever your ability.
Just 24km from central Queenstown, The Remarkables is the mountain to Find Your Freedom. Known for its wide-open terrain, off-piste adventures and world-class terrain parks, it’s a mountain made for exploring and progression.
Start with your first turns, build confidence across the mountain, then progress to park laps, freeride terrain and challenging chutes as your skills grow.

The New Zealand ski season runs from early June to October. Opening and closing dates vary depending on snow conditions.
Coronet Peak, & The Remarkables are open daily from 9am – 4pm, subject to weather conditions.
Night Ski is available at Coronet Peak from 4pm - 9pm Wednesday and Fridays and some Saturdays.
First Tracks is available at Coronet Peak from 8-9am daily and can be added on to your Day Pass or Season Pass. It doesn't get better than First Tracks and over sunrise at Coronet Peak.

You can hire ski or snowboard gear, clothing and helmets directly from Coronet Peak & The Remarkables. We strongly recommend you wear a helmet when skiing or snowboarding.
Hiring ski or snowboard equipment on the mountains means you don't have to lug your gear from town. You simply pick it up in the morning when you arrive, and drop it back before going home.
If you are skiing/boarding for more than one day you can take advantage of Coronet Peak & The Remarkables FREE overnight storage too!
If you are in Queenstown, you can pick your Coroent Peak or The Remarkables pass up from the Queenstown Snow Centre in The Station building on the corner of Camp and Shotover st. Alternatively, you can pick it up from our mountains when they open.
Your MyPass card is your lift pass to ski and snowboard at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski areas.
Your personal MyPass account also provides you with the ability to view your daily skiing and snowboarding statistics and other account details.
To avoid queues on the mountain, we recommend collecting your MyPass card the day before you head up the mountains. You'll also need this if you're catching the Ski Bus.
If you have a MyPass card from a previous season, you will be able to go straight to the lifts.
